My momma, Linda Wallen, started mosaicing the front of her house when I was about 10 years old. She did the outside walls and steps, then moved inside to the bathroom and halls, then she bought the house next door and kept going.

In the spring of 2007, she asked if I might bring my students over to do a mosaic project... so I did. A class was created with Amanda Wolf, where students created their own tiles and at the end of the 6 weeks we brought students over for 2 days to install on a neighbors house.

This past summer we did a smaller mosaic mural on a concrete holding wall on her street. Soon enough people will say... "Spring Hill? You mean Barcelona Hill."
